The RangeFinder Promise — Lead-Quality Credit Policy

Provider-side guarantee for businesses on a paid RangeFinder Wyoming plan. This is an account-credit policy, not a cash refund, and it applies to providers only — it is not a consumer warranty or booking guarantee.

The Promise, in one sentence

If RangeFinder routes you a qualifying bad lead, flag it in your dashboard within 14 days. If it meets this policy, we'll issue an account credit toward a future RangeFinder invoice.

Who's covered

Any business actively on a paid RangeFinder plan (Foundation $49/mo, Featured $99/mo, or Spotlight $149/mo) during the billing period the lead was received.

What is an "eligible lead"

An eligible lead is an inquiry submitted through RangeFinder's lead or booking form and shown in your dashboard while your listing is active. Phone calls, website clicks, third-party referrals, direct messages sent outside RangeFinder, and customers who contact you outside RangeFinder are not covered.

What counts as a "bad lead" (eligible for credit)

A lead RangeFinder routed to you qualifies for a credit if the contact information meets one of these:

Bad-lead reasonDefinition
Unusable contact infoThe phone number and/or email is invalid, disconnected, bounces, belongs to the wrong person, or otherwise cannot be used to reach the requester
Wrong number / wrong partyThe contact info reaches someone who is not the requesting customer
Spam / fraudulentThe request is bot-generated, a sales pitch, a phishing attempt, or otherwise clearly not a real customer seeking your service
DuplicateThe same request was routed to you more than once (you're only ever routed once; a duplicate is auto-credited)

Leads where the contact info is valid but the customer simply never responds are not covered — those are real prospects, just non-responsive.

What you get

  • Each verified bad lead earns a $10 account credit, recorded in your account ledger.
  • Approved credits are recorded in your dashboard and applied to a future RangeFinder invoice or billing adjustment. During beta, credits may be applied manually by RangeFinder.
  • Credits expire 12 months after issuance, and only while your listing stays on an active paid plan.
  • Credits cannot create a negative balance, cannot be transferred, and have no cash value. No cash refunds are issued, ever.
  • If you cancel, unused credits are forfeited.

How to claim

  1. Open the lead in your owner dashboard within 14 days of receiving it.
  2. Mark it "Bad lead" and select the reason (Unusable info / Wrong number / Spam / Duplicate). Add a short note.
  3. The credit is logged to your ledger and reviewed by our team within 3 business days.

Most claims only require a dashboard flag and a short note. RangeFinder may request reasonable context when needed to prevent abuse.

Limits & fair use

  • Cap: up to your plan's monthly subscription cost in credits per billing cycle. A Foundation ($49) plan can earn up to $49/mo in credits; Spotlight ($149) up to $149/mo.
  • Good-faith requirement: the contact info must genuinely be unusable as defined above. Flagging leads you simply didn't win, didn't get around to contacting, or that converted later is not eligible.
  • Abuse protection: a pattern of flagging an unusually high percentage of leads as bad may pause crediting pending review. Honest providers have nothing to worry about.
  • One credit per lead: a single lead can generate only one credit, regardless of how many reasons apply.

Trial listings

Free-trial listings can flag bad leads, but credits are issued only once the listing is on a paid plan. Flagged credits from the trial period are banked and applied to your first paid invoice.

What's NOT covered (exclusions)

  • Leads you won but didn't close — a real customer who chose not to hire you is a working lead.
  • No-response leads (valid info, customer never replied).
  • Leads outside the 14-day claim window.
  • Leads you never attempted to contact.
  • Delays or outcomes outside RangeFinder's control (the customer changed their mind, scheduling conflicts, weather, etc.).
  • Cash refunds — account credits only, ever.
  • Consumer-side guarantees — this Promise is for providers and creates no warranty or refund right for consumers booking through RangeFinder.

This Promise does not guarantee a minimum number of leads, bookings, revenue, or customer conversions.

Resolution & disputes

  • Evan (or an admin) reviews flagged bad leads within 3 business days. Approved credits appear in your dashboard ledger and apply to a future invoice.
  • If a credit is declined, you'll see the reason in your dashboard and can reply once to dispute.
  • For anything unresolved, email [email protected] and RangeFinder will review the issue in good faith under this policy.

Changes to this policy

RangeFinder may update these terms with 30 days' notice. Changes never reduce credits already earned and logged in your ledger before the change takes effect.
