Wyoming season windows
Hunting runs roughly August through December and peaks September–November; guided fishing runs late June through October. The two overlap in September.
| Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec | Published window | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Archery elk | Sept 1 – Sept 30 | ||||||||||||
| Rifle elk | Oct 15 – Nov 20 | ||||||||||||
| Cow elk | Aug 15–31, Nov 1–30 | ||||||||||||
| Antelope (archery) | Aug 15 – Sept 20 | ||||||||||||
| Antelope (rifle) | Sept 15 – Oct 22 | ||||||||||||
| Mule deer / antelope combo | Oct 1 – Oct 25 | ||||||||||||
| Guided fishing | late Jun – Oct (peak Jul–Sept) |
Plan a year ahead. The binding calendar is the Wyoming Game & Fish application deadline, not the hunt date: nonresident elk applications close about Feb 1; deer, antelope and resident elk close about May 31; moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and bison close about Apr 30 (WGFD Licenses & Applications, WYOGA deadline table). That makes December–February the peak window for finding an outfitter.
Licensed outfitter listings
Only outfitters whose Wyoming license number RangeFinder has confirmed against the Board's public search appear here. Unverified or lapsed licenses are suppressed from this page.
0 verified listings
No outfitter listing has completed license verification for these filters yet. Verification is manual: RangeFinder checks each outfitter's Wyoming license number against the Board's outfitter search before the listing appears here. Listings whose license is unverified or lapsed are suppressed from this page — they remain in the full Wyoming directory marked "License not verified".
How it works
RangeFinder is a publisher, not an arranger. RangeFinder does not arrange or book hunts, does not process hunt payments, and does not take a commission. Every agreement is between you and the licensed outfitter.
- Browse licensed Wyoming outfitters and guides by species, service, guide ratio, accommodation and land type.
- Verify license status yourself with the Wyoming Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides — outfitter search. Wyoming law requires an outfitter license number on any advertisement of outfitter or guide services (W.S. 23-2-407(c)).
- Contact the outfitter directly. RangeFinder routes your inquiry; the outfitter responds, quotes and contracts with you.
License verified — RangeFinder has confirmed this outfitter’s Wyoming license number against the Board’s public search. This reflects license status only, not quality or safety.
